WILLISTON, N.D. - The Babe Ruth World Series begins Thursday for the Bismarck 14s, and the 15-year-olds head up to Williston as they start their World Series August 13.
And since they are playing the home team, they know Williston is ready to go.
"Williston's going to come out and battle, the whole town is going to be there to support them, and Williston is a scrappy team, and we're not going to take them lightly. They're going to put up a good fight," says Joel Thune, Bismarck 15s Head Coach.
"If our pitchers throw strikes and our bats are there in clutch positions, we'll be just fine. And defensively we've been pretty solid all year, and as long as our pitcher's there, we, things go pretty smooth," says Thune.
The 15-year-olds will play the host team at 8 p.m. Central Time August 13.
