Bismarck Bobcats with first overall pick in NAHL draft

BISMARCK, N.D. - Tuesday is NAHL Entry Draft Day. For the Bismarck Bobcats, they have six roster spots they were looking to fill after losing a number of guys from the off-season.

The excitement for the Bobcats started last night when they traded with the Minnesota Magicians for a couple of Forwards. Head Coach Layne Sedevie continued the draft process today.

"Well I think the first couple, I mean, you know early in the draft, you know you're trying to get guys that obviously, you know are high priorities on your board, so, we feel we got both those guys in the first and second round. Eric Otto who played in the USHL last year, and Adam Stacho, who's another guy that, through an advisor, think are two guys that can really contribute."

In order to get the best guys this year, the Bobcats had to make some changes in the draft order. They traded their first round, third round, and fifth round picks for the number one overall pick; that’s when the drafted Eric Otto. The other five players they picked up today are, Goalie Jaxon Stauber, Forward Pavel Kharin, Forward Jake Olson, and Forward Aiden Gallacher.
