MINOT N.D. - With just one week until Christmas, kids at Children's Garden Preschool are ready for a vacation.
But before they take their winter break, these youngsters welcomed family and friends for a winter celebration showcasing all their hard work in the classroom.
This is the final year that sisters, Lucy and Jade will be in class together at Children's Garden Preschool.
They joined their classmates for a winter celebration before heading home for break, but Jayde doesn't seem to realize that her time in preschool with her big sister is almost done.
The school has four different parties for the family and friends of the 100 boys and girls.
"It's really exciting to be a preschooler, and to accomplish so much and so we just want to celebrate with the families and give the kids a fun activity on their last day before Christmas break" said School Director Sara Brentrup.
Lucy and Jade tell us that their class had created holiday jars to give to their loved ones.
Each session begins with a musical treat of songs that bring in the holiday spirit.
"I love watching the kids light up when they see their parents in the audience. We tell them, look for your families so you can wave at them and you can see when they first make that eye contact, they're just so proud to shared what they've learned and have their families here to celebrate with them," said Brentrup.
Bringing family and friends together to showcase talent, hard work and fun.
The kids are now on winter break and will return back to school after the New Year.
