Williston police arrest drunk man after invading home, threatening to kill 13-year-old

WILLISTON, N.D. - Williston police say a man entered a Williston house on the 1800 block of 6th Avenue West Friday and threatened to kill a 13-year-old boy sleeping on the couch.

Police say 22-year-old Gary Red Eagle III stabbed the couch next to the sleeping boy's head with a knife, and then asked the boy if he knew who he was.

The boy reportedly said he didn't know and Red Eagle kicked a table, punched a wall and stabbed a DVD case.

Police say he then threw the boy against the couch and told him he was going to kill him.

Officers arrived to find Red Eagle grabbing the boy's shirt.

He has been charged with burglary, terrorizing, and criminal attempt aggravated assault. His bond has been set $50,000.
