WILLISTON, N.D. - Around Thanksgiving, Williston saw a huge uptick in theft reports. Williston Police have linked many of them, so far, to one man.

Twenty-eight-year-old Jeremiah Johnson has been charged with 10 felony and misdemeanor charges for theft of property. Officers believe more charges may be filed as well.

Police also believe there are other suspects that Johnson worked with.

The thieves would target garages in apartment complexes near the Harvest Hills and Pheasant Run areas of town to break in to.

The Police Department is asking the public to check garages to make sure nothing was stolen from them.

If you believe something has been stolen, call the department at 577-1212.
