WILLISTON, N.D. - This year, Williston State College has made waves by expanding the Regional Scholarship to Eastern Montana. But they aren't done yet.
Recently, the school announced a scholarship to help with the cost of housing at Williston State's Frontier Hall. Students will be able to apply for as much as $2,000 per semester.
"It's the one place that we're not all that competitive right now. When you look at tuition and fees, we do a great job with scholarships. Housing is a little higher, and it's still kind of a carry over from the boom I think," says Dr. John Miller, Acting WSC President.
"This is dollars that are given by donors that have been used, or have been requested by the donors to be used, for cost of education for students in our region or are in our immediate area," says Terry Olson, WSC Foundation Executive Director.
More than 100 applicants have already applied for the scholarship.
