WILLISTON, N.D. - It was the boys in red against the boys in blue for bragging rights Thursday night in Williston.

The Williston Fire and Police Departments donned uniforms of a different kind for the annual Guns and Hoses softball game. The game serves as the main fundraiser for the Williston Police Association, and it means a lot to both sides to know how much the community cares about its officers.

"I can't tell you how much we appreciate the support from both the fire department and the police department that our community have in both of our two agencies. And it's so vital we have that support and our relationship with our community," says Lt. Det. David Peterson, Williston Police Department.

The fire department ended a losing streak by winning 13-1.
