WILLISTON, N.D. - Fire Prevention Week is the perfect opportunity for the Williston Fire Department to show off their new firehouse.
This is the second fire house for the city of Williston. The new building provides ample space for equipment and staff alike. Located on 58th Street, the new building will help cut down response times to the north end of town.
While staff have only been in the building for about three weeks, they love their new location.
"Just overall, the department is trying to spread out their knowledge and get people more aware of fire prevention," says Jill Sellers, Williston Fire Department.
"It's a beautiful facility. It was much needed. The town needed it, the community needs it. It'll help us with response times around town. It was much needed," says Cpt. Blaine Jeanotte, Williston VFD.
The department also broke ground on a third station which will be at Harvest Hills.
