It was a busier than usual weekend here in Williston. But one group wasn't as occupied on the Fourth of July weekend as they usually are: the fire department.
"Things honestly couldn't have gone any better. We had zero incidents. Medical emergencies as far as fireworks incidents and then we also didn't have any fires or anything that started for the most part around town. We were still pretty busy, but mostly normal traffic as far as call volume goes and everything was kind of on par. It was nice that the community was out and a good showing, but at the same time it seemed everyone was being safe and overall we had a good Fourth," says Capt. Matthew Clark, Williston Fire Department.
Clark says all the recent rain helped.
The lack of calls meant that no off-duty crews were called in during the weekend.
