WATFORD CITY, N.D. - A Watford City accountant connected to a Bakken murder for hire case has been charged with mail and wire fraud and lying to a federal agent.

Prosecutors say Rene Johnson asked investors to finance a business enterprise called RLJ Factoring, but funneled the money to Kingdom Dynamics Enterprises, an oil and mineral rights leasing company created by Doug Carlile.

Carlile was murdered in 2013 at the order of James Henrikson.
