TACOMA, Wash. – The fatal Amtrak train derailment in Washington state will not impact Amtrak’s routes through North Dakota, according to a spokesperson.
An Amtrak passenger train went off the rails in Pierce County, Wash., Monday morning, leaving several dead and sending nearly 80 people to the hospital.
A spokesperson for Amtrak released the following statement:
“The incident involving the Amtrak Cascades Train 501 travels from Seattle to Portland. The incident won’t impact Amtrak service in North Dakota.”
