MINOT, N.D. – Another Minot-area election is beginning to take shape, this time it's the race for Ward County State's Attorney.
The current state's attorney, Roza Larson, says she intends to run to keep her spot.
The County Commission appointed her in 2009 and she was elected in 2010 and re-elected in 2014.
She has also served as the president of the North Dakota State's Attorney Association.
Larson will have at least one challenger in the race, though.
Minot-area attorney Andrew Schultz says he's running for the spot.
Schultz owns his own firm and practices criminal defense, family law and debt collection law.
He wants to address how the courts handle drug cases, and is involved with the Minot Zoo Crew.
The primary for this election is June 12.
The top two vote-getters will move on to the general election Nov. 6.
