MINOT, N.D. - The Ward County Sheriff's Department says that a man wanted for bail jumping and violating the rules of the 24/7 program barricaded himself in a Minot hotel Tuesday and held deputies in a standoff for 11 hours.
Chief Deputy Bob Barnard says they received a tip that 41-year-old Brian Colliton was staying at the Hampton Inn in Minot.
Deputies attempted to serve an arrest warrant on Colliton around 2:30 p.m, at which point he barricaded himself in his hotel room.
Deputies forced entry into the hotel room around 1:30 a.m. and took Colliton into custody without incident.
He is in custody in the Ward County Jail.
