Visit Minot seeks revenue boost

MINOT, N.D. - Members of Visit Minot's board of directors discussed a potential one percent food and beverage tax that they plan to propose to the city council.

The board is looking for ways to counter a recent revenue shortfall.

The proposal is still in the making and Board President Joel Feist says it will still take a couple more months to make perfect.

"Most of the organizations that you bring into the community for events and stuff, they're always looking for funding. We're trying to determine the various levels of funding we need to make that possible," said Feist.

The board members will meet again on December 18.
