STARK COUNTY, N.D. - The Veterans Service Office in Stark County is holding an open house and resource fair for vets in the area.

There are more than 2,300 vets in the Stark County area, serving in every war form World War II through the global war on terrorism.

The VSO and the VA put on the event so veterans could get information and guidance on using all the benefits they are eligible for. Health care was the overwhelming theme, but there were also tables helping vets with home loans and their education benefits. Organizers say they just want to make sure vets have all the tools at their disposal.

“A lot of the veterans need to know where to go for help or who to contact if they do have a question or concern. We want to make sure they have the right information to contact that agency or individual,” said Stark County Veterans Service Officer Jessica Clifton.

There were 20 vendors at the fair.
