Tree at Governor’s Residence lit up

BISMARCK, N.D. - The big tree in front of the Governor's residence was lit for the 33rd year Tuesday night.

The lighting is sponsored by groups that support those struggling with mental health issues.

"The celebration of lights is really about a tree of hope and to individuals that are dealing with mental health needs need to know that there is hope and recovery is possible,” said Carlotta McCleary with Mental Health America of ND.

First Lady Kathryn Helgaas Burgum helped light the tree and offer support for those suffering.
