One-way traffic on some downtown Bismarck streets changes to two-way

BISAMRCK, N.D. - Many of the one-way streets in downtown Bismarck are turning into two-ways.

The areas between 4th St. and 6th St., Thayer Ave. and Broadway Avenues are changed.

Workers removed the pavement markings on the roadway and in parking areas to accommodate the change in traffic flow.

Monday, crews stripped the roadway, parking lanes and placed updated signage for two-way traffic.

The 2013 Downtown Bismarck Sub-Area Plan recommended the removal of the one-way traffic system to address the changing needs of the area.
