WILLISTON, N.D. - An accident on Highway 2 in Williston stalled traffic Wednesday.

The Williston Fire Department says around noon, two tractor trailers collided at the intersection of Highway 2 and 58th street West. One driver was sent to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries while the second was uninjured.

Because of the accident, one trailer rolled over and spilled an unknown quantity of produced water, which leaked onto the roadway and into storm drains.

The Fire department says none of the Produced water reached the Little Muddy River or Spring Lake. Three gallons of diesel fuel and other mechanical fluids also spilled.

The Fire Department says the accident is under investigation and crews are continuing to work toward remediation.
