Tracks expected to reopen Saturday night

WILLISTON The Williston Fire Department says the stretch of railroad where 47 train cars derailed last night is expected to be opened this evening.

Crews have been working since last night to clear the cars and ensure the railway is safe for train traffic to resume. An official cause of the derailment has not been announced. However, it is believed that a train jumped the track, running into a second train and causing more cars to derail. There were no injuries and the cars were not carrying hazardous materials.
