MINOT, N.D. - If you're looking for a forever furry friend, the Souris Valley animal shelter has got you covered.
Saturday, the shelter will host its first ever Clear the Shelter Day, which is to get all adoptable animals in loving homes. Those who attend may name their own adoption price. There will also be food trucks, prizes and a bunch of fun stuff as well.
Staff members say they want to get as many animals as they can into their fur-ever homes.
“The number one reason is we have a lot of animals in the shelter and obviously these animals are going to be happier in a loving home environment than they are going to be if they are stuck here,” said Justin Anderson, community outreach coordinator for the Souris Valley Animal Shelter.
The event starts at 12 p.m. and runs until 7 p.m. Staff members also want to remind people to get there early because they are expecting a big turnout.
