Some Minot Rec Facilities to see impacts from flood protection project

MINOT, N.D. - As the Mouse River Enhanced Flood Protection Project gets underway, some of Minot's recreation facilities will be impacted for the future.

The impacts will affect the area along the current levee between the Highway 83 bypass and 16th St. Southwest.

The pedestrian pathway will be completely closed throughout the construction.

The Dakota Bark Park will be temporarily moved across 7th Ave. Southwest from their current location.

The Wee Links Golf Course will be open for this summer, but will close at the start of fall. The Souris Valley Golf Club shouldn't be affected after they built temporary tee boxes to avoid the construction.

These impacts will be in effect until construction is expected to end in 2020.
