MINOT, N.D. - This Labor Day will be marked with a splash at the Roosevelt Park Pool.
For the fourth year, the Souris Valley Animal Shelter along with the Minot Park District are hosting its Soggy Doggy Pool Paw-ty. 50 dogs are allowed in the pool for 15 minutes, then the next 50 may make a splash, however, this year there are new requirements.
“This year the parks department is saying that they want you to come in with a proof of rabies shot, so the rabies vaccinations, to keep your animal on leash while it's in the pool area, minus when it's in the water, but you have to maintain control of your animal. But we've had such a blast every year we've had animals coming out,” said Randy McDonald, director of the Souris Valley Animal Shelter.
The event runs from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. this Monday.
