BISMARCK, ND - Bismarck has been without a soup kitchen for several years.
Heavens Helpers Soup Cafe wants to change that, but is still short to their fundraising goal.
Skyzone is jumping into action to get them to their goal.
Skyzone says they're hopping mad about helping Bismarck. Skyzone is donating 6 dollars of every Hop for the Hungry ticket to the Soup Cafe.
"To give back is one of the core principals of the Skyzone franchise in general, and so this is one of the ways we first came up with is how can we help somewhere in the community. The Soup Cafe came up as an opportunity," says David Be4nder, General Manager of Skyzone.
The Soup Cafe still needs another 150,000 for renovations like building the kitchen and shower facilities.
The cafe says they are grateful to partner up with Skyzone.
"They've been tremendous, and this is something that's fun and exciting. Everybody likes to have fun and get their kids off the devices and out of the house. So, they have an opportunity to go have some fun and contribute to a good cause in the meantime," says Mark Meier, Soup Cafe.
Heavens Helpers Soup Cafe is hoping to open in May, but for now they are hoping people buy tickets to hop for the hungry to give hope for the hungry.
