UPDATE: Suspect in Minot shooting now in custody

MINOT, N.D. - UPDATE: The suspect in a Minot shooting is now in custody.

Police say they received a call at about 2 p.m. from a man saying his car had been stolen. The man said he is familiar with the suspect, Noah Figliolino, and believed Figliolino was the one he saw take his vehicle.

At about 2:30 p.m. a North Dakota Highway Patrol trooper spotted the stolen vehicle traveling westbound on Highway 2 near Berthold, N.D.

Additional officers we called in for back up, a traffic stop was conducted and Figliolino was taken into custody without incident.

UPDATE: As of 12:15 p.m. Figliolino ​remains at large. The victim in this case was known and targeted by him. The Minot Police Department say this decreases the likelihood that there is a danger to the general public, since it was not a random act. They say the search for Figliolino is continuing.

The victim is in stable condition and still under hospital care.

ORIGINAL STORY 10:29 a.m.: A 21-year-old woman was shot early Thursday morning on Eisenhower Drive in Minot. According to a press release, the victim has been transported to Trinity Hospital for treatment.

Officers are looking for 19-year-old Noah Figliolino. They say there is no direct threat to residents in Minot, but the suspect may be armed.

Police say they found the vehicle driven by Figliolino and have evacuated an apartment in the southwest part of town.
