Savannah Greywind vigil held in Williston

WILLISTON, N.D. - A candlelight vigil was held in Williston to honor Savannah Greywind. More than 30 people came to Trinity Christian School Thursday. In spite of the rain, those that attended prayed and lit candles in Greywind's memory.

The procession moved inside and walked around the TC gym to honor the memory of the slain mother to be.

"I used to work with Savannah," said event organizer Tessa Taylor. "I was in Dietary and she was a CNA and she was just a very outgoing person. And I'm from Williston originally, and I know people who are from Belcourt and I know how badly they're hurting right now and I know how bad her family's hurting right now."

Friday at noon, Standing Rock Sioux Tribal members will hold a walk starting at the tribal office in Fort Yates, where balloons and candles will be provided.
