BISMARCK, N.D. - Sanford Hospital in Bismarck is restricting visitors due to widespread flu activity.
In a release sent Tuesday, Sanford Health said:
Due to the sustained increase in respiratory illnesses and influenza across North Dakota, Sanford Medical Center in Bismarck is implementing visitor restrictions to its hospital.
Sanford is placing these restrictions in order to protect patients and employees from catching and spreading respiratory illnesses, including influenza.
Beginning Jan. 25, Sanford will restrict visits. The restrictions will limit visits to patients’ immediate family members as long as they aren’t showing signs of respiratory illnesses.
Immediate family members include a patient’s spouse or significant other, in-laws, parents, grandparents and siblings.
Sanford would like to thank the public for their willingness to help avoid the spread of illnesses. These visitor guidelines begin Jan. 25 at Sanford Medical Center in Bismarck, located at 300 N. Seventh St. and will stay in place until further notice.
