Runnings hosts Ladies’ Night for breast cancer awareness

BISMARCK, N.D. One store is giving customers a chance to shop and raise money to fight breast cancer.

Wednesday it was Runnings chance to go pink, something you couldn't miss throughout the store. Pink buckets were sitting at the front of the store for customers to grab. The buckets were $2 dollars a piece, with one dollar from each sale going to Women's Way, a program to help fight breast cancer. For the patrons, all the items they could fit in the bucket would then be 15 percent off.

But not everyone was there to buy.

"The community has really helped,” sales associate Alice Fischer said. “A lot of times we just get donations from people coming in here just to shop and they don't want to buy anything but they want to donate and I think that's an awesome thing."
