BISMARCK, N.D. - An 18-year-old Bismarck man is back in jail, but this time for assault, terrorizing with a dangerous weapon and burglary of a firearm.
Zachary Roller appeared in court Friday afternoon after his arrest Thursday at an apartment complex.
Bismarck Police responded to an assault and when they arrived the victim had an injury to the back of his head and a bite to finger.
According to the affidavit Roller drove by the victim’s home and said “I’m going to kill you.”
The victim told officers that Roller got out of his car and entered the complex.
The affidavit says Roller hit the victim in the back of the head and when he turned around, Roller bit one of his fingers.
He said Roller pulled out a buck knife and held it in front of his body with the blade up, the victim took out a pocket knife because he felt he was in danger.
He told police Roller put his arms around him while he was still holding the knife and he thought he struck him in the back.
Both received medical attention. The victim received two staples to the back of his head. Roller was seen for what appeared to be a stab wound according to the affidavit.
He admitted to police that he took out the knife during the altercation.
Roller will be in court in March for a previous drug incident.
