Reward offered to find coin thieves

MINOT, N.D. - The Magic City Apartment Association is offering a $600 reward for anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for stealing from coin-operated machines. They say the amount may go up over time.

They also say the burglars are not only stealing money, but causing extensive damage to the machines.

“We don't know if it's one person, one party, a group, we just don't know who it is. That's why it's frustrating, and it continues. That's the reason for the reward fund, to see if we can get this thing to stop,” said Doug Pfau, a property manager at IMM.

Minot Police investigators say the burglaries have primarily taken place at laundromats and apartment complexes.

If you have any information on these burglaries or see suspicious behavior, you are urged to contact Minot Police at: 701-852-0111 or the CrimeStoppers hotline at 701-852-7463.

Those who offer information that leads to an arrest may be eligible for a CrimeStoppers award.
