BISMARCK, N.D. - The Renaissance Zone Program offers tax incentives to property owners and businesses in downtown Bismarck.
One building that was granted approval to be part of the program is at 101 North 5th Street, formerly One World Imports. A new restaurant is going into the location.
The city planner believes this restaurant is on an important corner and it's located in a great spot.
"It all generates new investments. Every new business draws more people and it draws more investment from there. It's a positive cycle that we're hoping that this can help spur," said Daniel Nairn, city planner.
Each property in downtown Bismarck is eligible to be part of this program once.
The goal of the Renaissance Zone Program is to draw more people to downtown Bismarck.
