MANDAN, N.D. - The Mandan Public Works Facility is getting a major remodel.
The building on 6th Ave SW was built back in the 1970s and hasn't had any improvements since then. The city has authorized spending just over three million dollars from its HUB fund, which comes from sales taxes and reserve funds.
The renovations include new office space, an equipment storage building, mechanical area, a washing bay, salt and sand building and more.
"With this project, we hope that we will be able to effectively maintain the city in this location for years to come,” said Public Works Director Jeff Wright.
Groundbreaking is expected in the spring, and Wright says he hopes the project will be done by the end of the year.
