Police looking for man who punched and pepper sprayed another man

BISMARCK, N.D. - Bismarck Police are looking for a man who pepper sprayed and punched a 33-year-old Bismarck man on Saturday.

Officers say the victim heard a knock at his door on the 100 Block Of American Ave., at 1 a.m.

The victim told police the suspect was looking for two individuals and then asked to borrow his cellphone.

Police say the suspect then pepper sprayed the victim and punched him twice on the left side of the head and ran away with the phone.

The victim washed his eyes off and went to a gas station to call a friend, who then took him to the Kelly Inn to contact police.

Officers say the victim had a bruise near his left eye.

Police were given a vague description of the suspect and the investigation is still ongoing.
