PSC holds meeting regarding pipeline in Watford City

Public Service Commission staff was in Watford City June 27 for a public hearing.

While the commissioners were not in attendance, the meeting went forward as planned.

Plains Terminal LLC is seeking to build a 3 1/2 mile long, 16 inch pipeline. The line will connect a terminal in McKenzie County with the Johnson's Corner Dakota Access Pipeline terminal.

The $5 million project will send 50 barrels of oil to Dakota Access every day.

Officials are hoping to start the two month construction process this fall. No members from the public spoke out against the project.

A final decision is expected from the PSC in July.
