Overnight fire destroys Minot home, resident escapes

Minot, N.D. An overnight fire destroyed a home on Minot's southwest side, but the lone resident fortunately escaped with only minor injuries.

Minot's Fire Department says they responded to a call of a fire around 2:30 a.m. on July 13 in the 400 block of Park Street SW.

They say the home was engulfed in flames, and crews from all four of Minot's fire stations battled the blaze.

They say crews had the fire contained shortly after 3:30 a.m.

The resident was treated at Trinity Hospital for minor burns.

No word yet on what caused the fire.
