Oliver County edges out N.D. oil counties for highest average wages in 2016

OLIVER COUNTY, N.D. - If you are looking for high paying jobs, then Oliver County is the place to be.

New data form Job Service North Dakota shows the average wage in the county is $71,719. Oliver County just beat out second place McKenzie County with $70,061. However, not all the news was good.

Average wages in North Dakota fell for the second year in a row because of a decreasing number of oil-related jobs.

The average wage in North Dakota in 2016 was $48,891, down from $50,696 in 2015.
