Names released of first 2 people sent to jail for participation in DAPL protest

We now know the names of the first two people sentenced to jail for protesting the Dakota Access pipeline.

Sources say 27-year-old Alexander Simon, of Fort Yates, and 64-year-old Mary Redway, of Providence, R.I., were convicted on Oct. 19 for disorderly conduct.

Simon was sentenced to 18 days in jail. Redway was sentenced to four days.
