BISMARCK, N.D. - Fuel tax revenue for the state Department of Transportation is down.

Agency director, Grant Levi, says there are fewer cars on the road now that the economy has slowed down.

The state gets 23 cents a gallon in tax every time you fill you car up.

Levi says last year the state raised $8.7 million from fuel tax, and this year they're only expecting to collect $7.4.
