ND oil production dropped historically in April

The state's oil production dropped drastically in the month of April.

North Dakota oil production fell 70,000 barrels a day according to the Department of Mineral Resources' latest figures.

Oil regulator Lynn Helms says this is the largest production drop ever in the history of the state.

The Bakken is now producing 1.4 million barrels a day.
