N.D. PSC schedules public sessions for MDU gas rate increase proposal

Montana Dakota Utilities is looking to raise its natural gas rates.

The North Dakota Public Service Commission has scheduled public meetings for the company's proposal.

The increase would cost MDU customers around $3 on their monthly bill.

MDU says it needs the additional money to operate and maintain its natural gas pipeline.

The Public Service Commission is having online public input sessions on Oct. 24 and 25. A formal public hearing is set for Feb. 28.
