NEW SALEM, N.D. - The second year of ND Country Fest has officially kicked off in New Salem.
This year it's a three-day event. On Thursday, admission was free and there were three North Dakota performers on stage. About 3,000 people are expected on the first day. And for those attending, it's a chance to spend time with family and friends while enjoying an outdoor country concert.
“Something like this brings a lot of people together,” Mandan resident Glenn Reed said. “And like I said, you make a whole lot of friends meet a lot of new people.”
The event continues Friday and Saturday, with headliners Montgomery Gentry and Locash performing. There are still tickets available at ndcountryfest.com.
