Moscow Ballet's Dance with us

BISMARCK Local dancers are going to have an opportunity this month to dance with the Moscow Ballet.

From Snowflakes to Mice and more, these girls will soon be dancing these parts with the Moscow Ballet.

"It feels really good to have, well I have a duet with someone so it feels good to get a role like that for the Moscow Ballet," said Lexi Hagen, a dancer with Let's Dance.

They auditioned last month and those chosen were taught their dances, they now practice them every week to get ready for the performances at the end of the month. We asked one of the parents about the audition.

"They had one of the dancers from the actual ballet company here, and she was really excited to get to meet her and do the auditions and stuff with her. So I think it's going to be a really great experience for her," said Mary Woinarowicz, the mother of a dancer.

Some dancers, like Lexi, are at the studio every day for multiple hours a day, working on their skills.

"I just like how we express ourselves to other people, and it just makes you feel better as a person when you dance. You just get a lot of everything out when you're on the stage," said Lexi.

This is all part of the Moscow Ballet's Dance With Us program, giving a once in a lifetime chance to dancers in every city they perform in.

It's a bit busy at Let's Dance Studio this month as they prepare for not only the Nutcracker, but their own holiday show, Frozen.
