Three lucky women were crowned during the first annual Minot Preliminary Pageant.
The titles were Miss Minot, Miss North Dakota State Fair and Miss Norsk Hostfest. The panel of judges included local names such as City Manager Lee Staab and HYATT house GM Lorena Starkey, as well as other experienced judges from across the state. The next 12 months will be dedicated to preparing these ladies for the state competition.
"Just watching it all come together. You work day in and day out. We had a lot of late nights," said Terri Philion, Pageant Director. "We haven't had a weekend since we started planning. Just watching it all come together tonight is very emotional and very rewarding."
The Miss North Dakota Class of 2017 includes Cassandra Stauffer, Jane Peterson, and Emily Prock.
