Minot's Budget Music & Video gets 'cash mob' treatment

MINOT, N.D. - Another downtown Minot business got the 'Cash Mob' treatment.

This time, it was Budget Music & Video.

Members of the group that call themselves the #MagicCashMob rushed the store between 5 and 7 p.m. Aug. 4.

The goal is to 'mob' the establishment with business, thus, giving the owners a jolt of revenue.

The managers at Budget Music & Video, which has been in Minot for nearly 40 years now, said they were grateful to be included as one of the 'Cash Mob' businesses, and say it shows how important it is to support downtown.

“Especially now, it's important to, for the local people to support their local businesses because we are your friends, your neighbors, your relatives, and without local business, your community falls apart,” said store manager Dylan Lee.

No word yet on what the next 'Cash Mob' location will be.

Budget Music & Video is open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays.
