Minot's Citizen Participation Plan has been revised to comply with the Housing and Urban Development National Disaster Recovery Grant's guidelines.
The city was awarded the $74 million grant earlier this year to revamp parts of the city.
The revisions specify minimum requirements for public meetings, appropriate commentary time, and guidance to define an action plan on how to move forward with updates to the city. Insuring that the community is involved in changes to its city.
"It let's them know, clearly, this is how you can be engaged in this process. This is how you can insure that your input gets considered as this whole project, as all of these different projects move on," said Chris Owen, City of Minot federal compliance officer.
