Minot murder suspect waives hearing, pleads not guilty

MINOT, N.D. – A woman accused of killing a 58-year-old man in Minot in November has pleaded not guilty.

According to district court records, 38-year-old Kommika Gregory waived her preliminary hearing scheduled for Friday, and her attorney entered her plea on her behalf.

Prosecutors say Gregory fatally shot a man who tried to intervene in a dispute at a South Main Street residence the morning of Nov. 16.

They say Gregory fled Minot, but police picked her up in New Town several hours later.

Gregory remains in custody in Minot on a $1 million bond.

She faces the chance of life in prison on the AA-felony murder charge and will be back in court for her pretrial conference May 9.
