Minot man wins North Dakota's 14th State Poker Championship

MINOT N.D. - A Minot man was crowned the North Dakota state poker champion for Texas Hold 'em tournament at the Vegas Motel in Minot this weekend.

Matt Lizzote brought home the title, the trophy and the grand prize of $30,000.

Lizzote played in all 14 State Championship Tournaments and is one of the youngest winners to claim the title.

Players came from all over the country to participate, including California, Texas, Oregon, Minnesota, Wisconsin, South Dakota, Montana and even Canada battled it out over the three day event to reach the top spots.
