Minot man who died in Mont. crash identified

BILLINGS, MONT. (AP) – The name of the Minot man who died Tuesday morning in a head-on crash on U.S. Highway 2 in northeastern Montana has been released.

Roosevelt County Undersheriff John Summers says Robert Walter Vann IV was a passenger in an SUV that crashed into an oncoming pickup near Brockton.

The SUV driver was trying to pass a snowplow when the accident happened.

Vann, an employee for Burlington Northern Santa Fe, was wearing a seat belt and died at the scene.

Three other people were injured.
