UPDATE: Police release name of Minot man who died in crash near Bottineau

BOTTINEAU, ND - Update: Police say Timothy Grondahl, 60, from Minot has died. His passenger Geraldine Grant, 61, also from Minot, was taken to the Bottineau Hospital.

Police say a 60-year-old Minot man is dead after losing control of his car on Hwy 5 near Bottineau. He was not wearing his seatbelt.

According to a press release, the man lost control in of his Chevy Blazer in the slush on the roadway around 11:30 Saturday morning. The car spun into the North ditch and rolled onto the passenger side.

The Bottineau Ambulance took his passenger, a 61-year-old Minot woman, to the Bottineau Hospital. The release didn't specify her condition.

Highway Patrol is still investigating the crash.
