Mandan, N.D. – The Morton County Sheriff's Office says it arrested a 34-year-old Minot man early Thursday morning following a high-speed chase along Highway 1806.

A press release from the Morton County Sheriff's office says the Mandan Police Department tried to pull Matthew Mize over for driving a suspicious vehicle.

Mize refused to stop and fled onto 1806.

A Morton County Sheriff's deputy found Mize and he fled again, leading deputies on a high speed chase.

A spike strip was eventually deployed and Mize's vehicle came to a stop near Prairie Knights Casino where he was arrested.

Mize faces charges of reckless endangerment, reckless driving, fleeing a police officer, driving with a suspended license and possession of marijuana.
