Minot homicide update

MINOT, N.D. - Authorities have arrested Kommika Gregory for the shooting death of a 58-year-old man at an apartment complex Thursday morning.

The homicide took place on the 1800 block of South Main Street in southeast Minot.

Minot Police searched several locations across Minot, including a separate apartment on 37th Avenue. The search lasted roughly seven hours.

"At 7:55 this morning we responded to a shooting call on the 1800 block of South Main Street in an apartment at that location," said Captain John Klug, Minot Police Department.

The 58-year-old man was pronounced dead on the scene.

At this time, it is too early to tell what happened in the early hours of Thursday.

Minot schools on the south end of town did not have recess outside as a precautionary measure.

We were also told that schools in Berthold were in lock-down for part of the day.
